Go After Your Destiny – Ps. Mazote Msipha
Lead Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) — But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
You are not an after-thought. God does not do “half-done”. God knew what He wanted to create when He created you.
You are complete in your uniqueness, you do not have to compete with the next person.
God knows each one of us by name and He wants us all to be unique.
God does not like voids, that is why He created YOU, a missing piece of a puzzle.
Re-birth determines the ignition of your purpose. You need to ensure you are not MISPLACED! We find public servants who should be in business, nurses who should be policemen. If we all operate in our purpose, life would be much smoother. When you fulfill your purpose, there is provision.
Every purpose require PREPARATION! Everyone wants overnight success. They do not like the process of preparation, that is why they end up operating in areas they are graced for. Everyone wants overnight success.
A real calling from God will always have requirement for preparation. You might be chosen like Esther, but you have to go through the preparation. We love the purpose but not the preparation. People do not even want to be born again anymore. They don’t have an encounter with Jesus Christ, but they have an encounter with a “man of God” or with “holy water” or “anointing oil”. Success and purpose comes at a cost. You must be willing to be broken down.
You cannot go back to your sin after having a genuine encounter with God. Ask the Samaritan woman, Jacob after Bethel, Paul after Damascus … you cannot walk the same way after encountering God. You can’t walk the same way after encountering God.
Destiny is a journey … you need to enjoy it. Destiny is a state where both God and you are fulfilled! God must be fulfilled.
5 Steps To Achieve Your Destiny:
- Make Up Your Mind:
Are you saved or are you not? Revelations 3:15 (NKJV) – “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.God does not like indecision. Do not “trial-run” God.
- Silence The Voice of The Enemy:
The enemy will always try to whisper negative seeds in your heart. Sometimes the enemy will use those close to you to sow seeds of doubt about your purpose / destiny. The devil tried to use Peter to distract Jesus. Matthew 16:23 (NKJV) – But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” You cannot afford to entertain a conversation with the enemy, … Eve entertained the serpent and ended up in sin. No one can convince you if you do not give them audience. Let the voice of God and the Holy Spirit be the loudest in your heart. The company you keep can derail you.
- Stop Wasting Tomorrow By Feeding Yesterday:
Luke 9:62 (NKJV) – But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” You cannot reach your destiny if you are focused on yesterday.
- Be True To Yourself:
God cannot bless who you pretend to be. Do not impersonate other people. Be content with who you are. We are a people who are so addicted to pretense and cover-up … we must be prepared to be bare before God.
- Acknowledge That You Need Help:
Every great person was once helped. If you are to pursue purpose and reach your destiny, you need to accept help.
— Acknowledge that you need help from God!
— You need help from people. God uses people … accept help from people that God uses.
You need relationships. Value and build them! The boss you disrespect, could be your destiny helper. The friend you don’t take seriously, could be your destiny helper.
