House Of Stephen

House Of Stephen

“For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.” — Matthew 26:35-36 (KJV)

House of Faith’s social outreach ministry is called House of Stephen. House of Stephen is driven by Jesus’ statement in Matthew 26:35-36, which states “for I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”

This is one of our dearest ministries in the church which has existed since the church’s inception. Through the House of Stephen ministry we reach out to the less fortunate and extend God’s love to surrounding communities.

Some of the projects undertaken include:

— orphanage visits,
— squatter camps soup kitchen,
— blanket distribution,
— clothing and groceries distribution
— Matriculant bursaries
— Back-2-School uniform & stationery campaigns
— Christmas Hampers
Prison ministry & hospital visits

Long term goals of this ministry include opening church crèche and orphanage, empowering those without skills, recruitment agency for home skills, health care issues and offering rehabilitation services.
House of Stephen is House of Faith’s vehicle of giving back and a practical demonstration of God’s unchanging and unconditional love to humanity.
